NFL Week 7 Power Rankings: Saints Rise to the Top

There was a lot of movement this week, especially with the 6-week reigning #1 seed, the New York Giants, going down in flames to the New Orleans Saints. We only bumped the Giants down 3 spots, because we think they are a lot better than they indicated, but a sketchy performance in Week 7 could drop them much further.

That said, the Orleans Saints are our new #1 seed. We decided to give them the spot over the Indianapolis Colts based on the quality of Denver’s most recent wins.

As for the rest of the rankings, check them out below!

1. New Orleans Saints (5-0, Last Week: #4) – The Saints destroyed the Giants! In fact, I think Drew Brees just threw another touchdown pass.

2. Indianapolis Colts (5-0, Last Week: #2) – The Colts just keep moving along. Chatter of MVP for Peyton Manning has already begun.

3. Minnesota Vikings (6-0, Last Week: #3 – The Vikings got a late win over Baltimore and look like a Super Bowl Contending team. I wasn’t on board their bandwagon earlier, but if there’s room, I might be ready to take a seat.

4. New York Giants (5-1; Last Week: #1) – The Giants took a drumming from the Saints, but they aren’t really that ad, right?

5. Denver Broncos (6-0, Last Week: #6) – If you didn’t believe in the Broncos before their win over the Cowboys and Patriots, how about their defeat of the San Diego Chargers in Week 6?

6. New England Patriots (4-2, Last Week: #11) – Tom Brady and Randy Moss burned the Titans all day long. Five touchdown passes in one quarter? If Brady starts doing that consistently, the league is in trouble.

7. Atlanta Falcons (4-1, Last Week: #9) – The Falcons just keep flying under the radar. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone; it’s a secret!

8. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2, Last Week: #5) – The Bengals took a step back by losing to Houston at home. It wasn’t me who had them winning the AFC North, was it?

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2, Last Week: #10) – The Steelers are 4-2, their quarterback just threw for 400 yards, and best of all, they should get Troy Polamalu back in Week 7. Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

10. Chicago Bears (3-2, Last Week: #7) – Say what you will about Chicago, but their defense is playing much better than I had anticipated.

11. Philadelphia Eagles (3-2, Last Week: #8)
